Well, i thought u could tell my personality from lookin at the watch.. lol Hm, i think a nice watch will look nice on anyone
A nice watch is telling something about the person who is wearing it. But you need to know more to come with a good profile.
not rockin any watches now..... but i want to buy a simple movado watch that will work for all occasions like
Nice choice. Simple yet elegant. Sturdy looking yet feminine. I agree. Craftsmanship & precision are very important for telling time. My beef is that all the extra aesthetics may get in the way of a watch's main function. A watch can be both simple & aesthetically pleasing at the same time imo. lol, and in regards to a lady, the same can be said....one may judge her by her quality, not the amount of accessories she has on lol... My wife bought it for about $275. You can probably get one for about $250 these days. Just make sure it's from an authorized dealer and has full warranty in case anything happens to it. It's an awesome watch and goes really well with tuxedos, black /grey/navy suits. It also has a thin profile and is light weight so it doesn't weigh you down, nor is it clunky and easily scratched.
Nice pick. I have a replica Movado Esperanza from HK: I had the same watch except with a blue dial, automatic motion, and chinese calendar (bought it in HK) but it broke couple years back = Lol, thanks for pointing that out. I took a closer look at the last Breitling and noticed the added on crown adornment on the bezel lol.... Although the first 2 Breitlings are not chopped....
Times Square building 3rd - 5th floors on Cabbage Street in Wong Gok. My cousin took me there to shop for watches and she bought me one there, about 30-40% off retail. They sell the real thing, but without any warranties. That's why they're cheaper. So far so good, watch still running for 4th year in a row. I had to change the battery once in the US, and took it to a dealership who said the watch is authentic..... Oh, make sure you know how to bargain or bring someone with you who does. And if you speak Cantonese with an accent or are not very fluent, I would suggest you have a friend or family do all the talking. If they know you're from outta town, they'll try to make a killing on ya. Good luck.
Thanks man, but, then I am way in trouble >< =]....how about one where the prices are set and you get a warranty...I know there is one in Festival Walk (2 of them there, thinking of the one on the bottom/bottom floor)....been to that one? (Festival Walk has tons of discounts for City U students, thats great for me as I will be one during the summer ^^) Not sure if its any good for prices compared with the other set priced stores?
Been to festival walk, but wasn't really looking for watches that time lol. The only other time I bought a watch in HK was at one of those Jap dept stores. It's the Seiko 5 automatic (see my prev post). Cost about $200 USD with full 5 year warranty. The watch lasted me >10 years before it died on me. It may be Mitsukoshi if I remember correctly.
Wow Movados for 250 now that's cheap!!! And you said it's original and it looks like the style is from midrange price...double cheap!!!
Yes, check out Ashfords.com. However this was during some sort of sale they were having. I don't know what the retail price is...never bothered to look it up. Their prices may have changed since so ymmv
