After grinding for so long on FFXIII chapter 11, I decided to turn my PS3 off and have a break. Turned it back on after 10 minutes, BOOM! YLOD! I don't want to DIY fix it, because I'm not an experienced technician and I don't want to fuck up this expensive console. I will call for repairs tomorrow. I want to know... once fixed, will all your game data and save files remain?
imo your better off getting a slim now, u can repair it and it may happen again soonish. i don't think you lose your data but you should back it up often.
I believe they're only going to give you a refurbished one. You have to DIY.. it's cheap.. won't take as long.. and it's basically unscrewing things apart. That is if you want any chance of recovering your saves. Best to get a slim like flaming suggests.. that way you can do a data transfer with an ethernet cable from the old one.
xD uh oh ... :/ you should have saw my thread before and backed up already tut tut any way remember to get the disk out turn it off and hold the eject button and turn it on while holding it ... disk should eject ..... aww unlucky thouh .. all that data :/ gone in a poof
yes yes and yes.. lol.. follow this guide. it's a temp. fix.. but at least you'll save time n money and your saves.
yeah, fml is kinda KT's kind of thing, but you'll never know if you suddenly pop that term in, much like the whole fap business lol But still Sony kinda fucked you up a few times already
Done and done! Got what I think is a good deal... 250Gb for AUD $556, which also comes with a free game, I chose Heavy Rain, added $65 for another year warranty with "GAME" (originally was 80 dollars). Quite happy with it. So now I'ma be real busy tonight with the "Slim Jim" catching up on FFXIII unless someone has a save file from the beginning of chapter 11 they can send over. (US version)
