fine.. theres no such thing as good computers then? go try and build your own computer.. the dell 1525 or whatever model is.. looks pretty good for the price... though... :( but no1 likes those 2 brand.. so im outta here.... HP and Toshiba sucks also.
i think most of laptop is very base on personality. First dont ask which brand, but instead ask yourself, what size laptop? 12? 14, 15, or 17inch. Also if your retail store have those on sample, you have to try there keyboard see if you like it because not every laptop build the same kind of keyboard. After you choose your size there is some limitation because of the size. For instance if you get a 12inch then it very mean u can't have a bigger harddrive or better graphic. If you get 17inch you can play most new games.

ultraportable or whatnot. i hate them. reason why? everytime i see a vaio/mac owner, they go: omg this is the best computer ever! its so powerful! it can do anything. i go: no it cant. i can find laptops half the price twice as powerful. they go: no... its just because you dont like macs. you get used to it. try it. i go: no. they go: what major? i go: computer science. they go: oh... then you need a windows more than a mac.. lameeee lol you can save that money and invest it on your 250 instead lol that guy has a name

actually my friend managed to get a sony vaio z series dual core 2, 3 gb of ram and 250gb hard drive for like £600. its pretty portable too.
