What's the best way to learn mandarin at home?

    If you know people who speak mandarin, try communicating them with in mandarin. Constantly using the language and having the people correct you as you make the mistakes is actually one of the fastest ways to learn the langauge.

    the more ppl around u speak it the more u learn it

    i mostly watch a lot of drama's with english subtitles if it's posible.
    i listen what they say so i can remember what de meaning is. =)

    I learn my mandarin by watching Taiwanese dramas and listening to mandarin songs while reading the lyrics.

    i try to talk to my parents & friends in chinese.
    both mando & canto.
    sing along with jay chou or lee hom.
    watch tw/mainland dramas.

    My way of learning Mandarin is by watching Taiwanese dramas and shows. But that just improves your hearing, if you want to improve on talking I guess you have to really talk to someone in Mandarin.

    watch more chinese movies and look at the subtitles
     
  14. I've been learning Mandarin by watching Taiwanese dramas. Some of them are cheesy, but it's a quick way to learn it. Especially if you have the English subtitles.

    can try to watch taiwanese series which have chinese subtitles , from there you can build your understanding mandarin better . also can try search some simple mandarin article and refer to dictionary when not understand the words . if you listen to mandarin song , you can always read the lyrics together with the music playing . hope this can help .
