i fall asleep in school sometimes because my lessons are very boring... usually if i listen to classical music or love music, i fall asleep
everyone is different. But I heard a good sleeping place should be slightly cooler space at home. No distraction (like TV) so when you sleep you get into REM sleep mode which make you feel refresh in the morning. If it helps, take a shower first before going to bed. For me, I can sleep anytime, anywhere and wake up on time. But that's just me. ;-)
eh i've done that before try to sleep and you just lay there, it sucks, uh try eatting something? even though my parents used to tell me not to eat before bed all the time i do it >_< lol

i had the same problem after winter break. i was adjusted to sleeping late. so i just made myself really tired in the day by exercising or chores(><) then at night, i'd sleep much quicker. being full makes you sleepy, but i heard that its not good to sleep right after you've eaten. reading doesn't work for me, if i really like the book, i'll be wide awake, and if i don't like the book, i'll get a headache and i can't sleep. omg, i hate counting sheep. i've only counted sheep once or twice, and both times i've counted up to the hundreds and eventually gave up.
counting sheeps dont work for me. if i count sheeps, ill end up thinking about a lamb rack, and ill become hungry just thinking about it, so ill never end up sleeping.. and it happens every time.. INSTEAD i just day dream =D about things id like to do, for example, street racing and drifting in the streets of toronto VROOM VROOM!
Well, for the most part I sleep okay, but occasionally when I can't fall asleep I use Valerian Root. You can buy it at any organic shoppe and it's available both in a tablet as well as a liquid/droplet form (I have it in the liquid form). It works sooo well, it's non habit forming and you don't wake up groggy or anything. Its also good for hypertension as well. anyway lol I also drink a cup of peach tea and that always calms me. Whenever my nephews visit and spend the night, we always give them warm milk with molasses. I never tried that but they always have trouble sleeping and that never fails to work! O heheh, talking on the phone with my friends for some reason puts me to sleep too lol but then I end up feeling bad for falling asleep on em..-unsure
