What makes someone good looking?

Let's discuss why i am so handsome.
Is it my styling haircut?
Or is it my sensual jawline?
Or maybe its the perfect symmetry of my face?

Hm, you are just asking about good looking right? Not attractive or anything. Since I think good looking is quite objective while attractive (meaning I am attracted) is very subjective.

My take: symmetry and good skin (even coloured) and balance (no too-big or too-small facial features)

i think it's something to do with symmetry. The perfect symmetry of one person's face contributes deeply to the attractiveness of that person. O i have some girl's picture that looks extremly like you =D

lol... this is my field of interest. But right now.. there doesn't seem to be any real consensus on whether beauty is objective. Read A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful by Edmund Burke.

For me, beauty is never objective. It is subjective. Everyone has their own perception of beauty. But on the other hand, people are also subjected to influence and social pressure, hence giving rise to so called common perception fo beauty. That is what leads to the idea that beauty is objective. This is a misconception I believe.

 

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. look at prince charles and camilla...(shudder)
