i need serious help wif this..i dl the JD thing and the dlc attachment but when i open it a box with the JD logo pops up and it doesnt even do anything.....when i click on something else..the box is like permantly in the middle of my screen!!
It freezes because there's too many updates needed for the old version jDownloader 0.89. Just (hard)close the program javaw.exe (try with CTRL+ALT+DEL) Follow the steps from post #39 while installing with the newest version jDownloader 0.9.421 Ps. Tick of the automatic updates in options/preferences. And select NO when it asks for an update ;]
Hi Yu, Firstly, thanks for the great program. It does speed up the overall download. May I know how do i get rid of the FileServe captcha pop up? Thanks in advance.
Oh I didn't know a captcha was required for FileServe (besides HotFile). Will check it out once get home. Ehrm..I don't think you can get rid of them unless you buy a premium membership?
Hi Yu, Thanks for checking it out when u get home. Yeah...I double check today....it was FileServe. My dlc folder has 30+ files. I noticed that it pops out at the beginning of each new file download in that folder. So that means, i need to key in 30+ times during the past few days. And if I was away from the computer, it will lapse and the JD will show "plugin error (out of date). But for MU, the captcha is automatic and I do not need to key in anything. What do you think? Anyway to set the captcha thing in fileserve? Thanks!
Yes just checked: FileServe needs captcha as well, same as HotFile. Atm can only buy a membership to fix it, unless JDownloader debug-team has finally cracked these codes too XD PS. I'm frequently updating my JDownloader to the latest version in case of any new fixes, debugs, etc~
Hmmm... I've notice recently that I've been having some issues with links to MediaFire. JDownloader seems to see the links without any problems, begins to download, and then midstream, somehow loses the data stream and have to start over again. I've noticed that it generally gets about 5 to 20 MB's of data and then recycles itself, starting to download a file all over again. Oddly enough, when I use the same exact link with Firefox, I'm able to complete the DL without any problems whatsoever. I'm using the latest version (v0.9.580). Comments? Solutions?
Googled and found that MediaFire tend to change their page (codes) a lot, just like FileFactory (<-they change it daily heck!). Guess they don't want ppl to use downloadmanagers on their links XD Which results that JDownloader often needs to release a fix/update for these issues. There's no fix until they releases a newer plugin. Even if you've the latest version installed v0.9580. There are still fixes/updates for the plugin released daily/weekly.. Hmm...for now I can only advise you to set your JDownloader on auto-update every time you startup. Do note it will slow down your comp and eat a lot of your cpu too =P And last perhaps give a visit to their forum JDownloader.org, they have similar cases here. If after a period of time still doesn't work, perhaps use FreeRapid or RDesc as an alternative downloadmanager along with the JDownloader? PS. I've never used those apps tho XD dunno if comp with MF links
Thanks for the in depth and well researched answer. I do update every time I use JDownloader, but it can't seem to even get any linkup to Mediafire at all. As it is though, the MF links really aren't so bad even without an auto downloader because one can still DL simultaneous data streams without paying a premium fee. So it certainly isn't the end of the world so to speak. Just that it would have been nice if MF could also have been brought on board the JDownloader wagon too. I was also wondering why more people don't up to Megaupload, as they seem to be a lot more friendly towards downloaders to begin with. They don't require you to wait (until you DL a lot) and MU seems to work great with JDownloader. But, I guess that would take all the "fun" out of downloading, eh? LOL...
You're going to need a much bigger graphic if you want people to see it; or else just type out what the message says... -detect
