I can't stand that movie. I thought it was melodramatic to the max, although a few aspectrs of it weren't too bad. I like the actors especially the guy. He was incredibly hawt. I liked him ever since he was in Breaker High and no one else liked him. They thought I was crazy for likinga goon. But whatever, to each their own.
you know what book i really Like? I remember reading it in high school and it stuck on me foreverrrr "The Great Gatsby" by F.Scott Fitzgerald. the BOMB.
oh yea i read that book in high school too. they always do those kinda 30's books but can'tt they do cool sci or fantasy books in high school. its always about modern times.
I actually had a class in high school where we read bestseller novels like the godfather and world according to garp. It was such a popular class even for people who hated the regular literature classes just because we were actually interested in discussing those books
"The book I'm pretty sure questions the existance of God by presenting facts and details that Da Vinci exhibits in his paintings and creations."
its cause sci-fi and fantasy books dont have any themes.. just a bunch of crazy stuff happening... altho exciting theres really no substance... kinda like an Action movie with a lot of sex........ they will impress you , but they arent gonna win a grammy
I disagree because there are a lot of intelligent and thought provoking sci fi books that actually deal with modern issues such as bladerunner or anything by philip k dick, dune, but I don't think literature teachers have the experience with these books to teach them. I'm not a huge scifi/fantasy fan, but I think the Lord of the Rings is one of the greatest works ever written
hmm i think you'd prob need a degree on teaching those stuff eh. becasue they are so huge it's like a universe of its own and alot deal with religon.
im wokring on a philosophy/literature degree.. lolz i know.. you cant tell by my spelling. damn internet. but in some of my courses we dealve into science fiction, and they dont have teh same patterns of litterary works. But even so over time ppls views of literature and what they view it as ,changes.
Harry Potter, anyone? Geez... lol Also, anyone read Asian-American fiction? Like...Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club? Or there's a really good autobiography written by Adeline Yen Mah: Falling Leaves. Check them out! They come highly recommended.
