Wayne Lai recently admitted that it was thanks to co-star Moses Chan that he was able to develop his strong physique on "Death by Zero".
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who sat down for an interview alongside his said co-star, shared that he got his six-pack abs in the drama from the rigorous training he went through with Moses, who somehow became his unofficial fitness instructor.
"He even taught me to count calories, like how much calories are in a 100 gram of steak, and all that. After more than a month of hard work, I was able to reduce my weight," he said.
Wayne added that while producer Joe Chan did not require him to show off his new physique on camera, he thought that revealing the result of his hard work to the viewers could increase the effect that they were looking for.
"It was a big change and I didn't want to waste everybody's effort," he added.
Moses agreed, saying that it was something that Wayne had never done before.
"The most important thing is that he had the determination and persistence. It really wasn't easy," he added.
The actor also laughed when mentioned that he was duped by the producer to star in the drama while he was drunk.
"Joe asked me to meet him and his two editors at the time. I bought three bottles of wine. My wife doesn't drink, so I had to drink on her behalf, and I drank until I got drunk. When I got in the car afterwards, my wife told me that I had promised Joe I would be doing the drama," he said.
