Nature's beauty is appreciated more than man-made beauty because it's more rare. Everyone has the potential to get synthetic beauty. And human nature appreciates that which is more rare - because it's something special. But having said that, I know a lot of people (usually girls) who are against PS because they don't want additional competition. They want people to stay as ugly as they were born and not enhanced, so that they won't look worse in comparison. -tongue2 Also, some people (usually guys) are afraid that what they see on the face of their future spouse is not their true phenotype. A biological lie. Then there's the group of people who already got it done and are trying to pass themselves off as natural beauties. You know what though. My sister got a lot more self-confident after she got her nosejob. But it seems to be a very superficial kind of confidence.. something derived from the external world, not from inside yourself. Which is scary IMO because who knows what kind of a breakdown she will suffer when the world doesn't go her way. She already talks about killing herself if she doesn't make something of herself before age 30. -ohmy On another level, I don't think a celebrity should get plastic surgery at all if his/her target audience is teens *cough Ashley Simpson cough* because of the message that it sends out to them.
wow...ur sis got a nose job? Im not satisfied with my nose too...but it doesnt bug me enough... ive seen how they do it on tv and no way on earth i would do it not even if id get it for free... "I know a lot of people (usually girls) who are against PS because they don't want additional competition. They want people to stay as ugly as they were born and not enhanced, so that they won't look worse in comparison" I am not against it...if ppl wanna do it and have a good feeling with it...then thats fine with me...but they gotta know the consequences... and what do they wanna reach by havin it done? Look prettier? U know....there's always something to fix because nobody is perfect...and as ur aging u will probably look even less pretty...does that mean u have to run to the dr. for every flaw?
Yeah, she had it done about a year ago in Korea. I didn't think her nose was flat to begin with, but she was insistent on getting it done. Anyway, she told me one of her ex boyfriends asked her if she'd had her nose done because it's so impossibly straight, and she denied it. She tells me that it's "her" nose now, so she doesn't think of it as plastic. True. I think it's okay for people to enhance what’s already there when it’s done in moderate amounts. If a girl is naturally beautiful but has one or two imperfections, surgery can be used to correct it. However, if a girl does not have any natural beauty on her face and surgery is used to transform her entire face, that’s a different matter altogether. Honey Lee had plastic surgery? Maybe that's one of the factors that caused her to lose against Ms. Japan (unless she also went under the knife). I always thought there should be a separate category of beauty pageant for surgically enhanced contestants. Beauty is a gift, just like a talent is a gift. If there was a way of installing an artificial talent into a person, would a talent show be anything special? Same with beauty pageants. They're there to entertain us, and I just can't enjoy it if I'm sitting there wondering what percentage of these contestants' faces/bodies are synthetic.
Hmmm...she takes the term plastic to literally...and to be honest i dont think she should be lying about it...but thats her choice One of my friends wants to get a nose job too...i keep tellin her that she shouldnt because i dont see whats wrong with her nose...but eventually its her choice of course... Agreed... I dont think it would be fair if someone with a "fake face" would win from someone who is a natural beauty
If i were a guy, i wouldnt want a plastic girl. you see the korean celebs, so many of them look the same. the standards of beauty will just go up. in the end, nobody will be their unique selves anymore. everyone should be loved the way they are. =]
