TVB’s upcoming modern drama Midas <點金勝手> held its blessing ceremony on September 9. Stars Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), and Sharon Chan (陳敏之) were in attendance and appeared to be friendly and in good spirits despite rumored animosity. The cast spoke about the series’ new yet complex relationships and shared their reactions on some of their planned kissing scenes. Although suffering from a cold, Kate attended the ceremony anyway and joked that her sickness gave her a sexier, nasal voice. Even though her character becomes romantically involved with Bosco, Kate revealed that she will not have kissing scenes with him at all. Instead, she will share her on-screen intimate moments with her female co-stars. “This time I will play a TBG (Tomboy Girl). So far I don’t see any kissing scenes with Nancy, but I think I will have to kiss Toby [Leung] (梁靖琪). Who knows if these scenes will air at all? I’ve playfully kissed Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) before, but I have never truly kissed a girl in real life.” Bosco, who plays an attractive, successful finance prodigy, was asked if he is also surrounded by beautiful women in the real world. Bosco replied, “I am only a lowly actor, not some big-name CEO. Thank you for thinking highly of me. I wish it is true but, unlike Chilam Cheung (張智霖), I won’t be able to handle it at all.” Nancy revealed a surprising detail when asked to talk about her intimate scenes, saying she was shocked that she will have to kiss Pal Sinn (單立文). “I normally address Brother Pao as ‘dad’. I will share a passionate kissing scene with him. I cannot picture him kissing me forcibly. I will have to get myself drunk when I film this scene.
