Can anyone confirm if TVPad supports streaming over HTTP proxy / VPN?

HTTP Proxy -> No, at least I have not seen any options in the settings to specify a proxy server.
VPN -> Well you cannot install some sort of VPN client on the TVPad, so you would need to do some magic on your router to send all TVPad traffic via your VPN connection.

TVB stuttering / hanging / pausing / buffering

Anyone else is having problems with TVB on all the apps today during prime time ?

I guess they are selling more devices than their network can handle ... hmmm ... I am holding off on buying more for family until this is resolved (if ever).

EDIT: Btw, YAY! ... we got a sticky for our thread! So keep the thread alive guys.

Well, the Lily TV app does not require any upload since it does not use the SopCast network. It's using direct links to the streams, so they have to dedicate more bandwidth for more people to watch concurrently.

    Thanks goofnerd :)

No :D. I ordered three times at the tvpad.hk website. then they will send in three package. (Douane can't charge you taxes per parcel of 25 us dollar)

So tvpad.hk will value it as 25 us dollar, so you won't have to pay the tax. How about ordering from the eBay seller: does he also value it at 25 us dollar?
