I use media player classic (MPC). I noticed that I also get weird echo if I try skipping any parts of it. If I let it play from beginning without fast-forwarding, everything syncs great. Most-likely the file was encoded using an older version of a certain code and our current updated versions of the codecs aren't fully compatible. A typical case of, older files not running great with current newer software. edit: I've figured a temporary fix. I just manual re-select the audio stream in the audio options. There is only a single stream but clicking on it again somehow worked for me in MPC.
anyone else found a solution for the sound? i tried opening it in windows media, VLC, changed the audio tracks etc but nothing worked. thanks
