shouldn't it also depend on the ages of the person as well? i mean, is this chart for an average adult or teenager? I dont think this chart can really determine is unhealthy if their underweight/overweight ><
I might be a bit under weight ... but I'm don't think I'm unhealthy lol cuz I eat 5 meals a day and I do cardio training every other day and the days which I'm not running I'm doing strength training. =( I eat a lot of fruits and vegs so I think I'm pretty healthy, maybe I just have very little fat?? I'm not sure how it works lol
That chart is a BMI chart. It's not bull. It's just to give you a rough idea whether or not you are overweight. For asians, normal values are between 18-23. It's not an accurate measurement of how much fat you have in your body, because fat weighs relatively less than muscle, so you can have a slightly higher BMI and still be healthy. But as long as your BMI is within normal values, I don't think you have much to worry about.
dont forget that muscle weighs more than fat!!! so if ur heavy it doesnt necessarily mean ur obese!!!
The Chart only works for sedentary people. People who lift weights and do sport are all fat according to the chart yet they could be healthier than someone who falls in the normal range.
thats fine for me then lol. im in the ok section. ye i have a few friends who underweight. best thing to do is eat a bit more but as long as ur not too underweight ur fine.
