Him Law and Tavia Yeung recently announced that they have decided to change their Chinese names for the sake of their daughter.

As reported on Mingpao, the news was shared by the former TVB actress on Instagram on 27 October to celebrate daughter Hera turning six months old.

She wrote, "In a blink of an eye, Hera is already half a year old. Over the past year or so, we have undergone many changes. We have made this decision for the betterment of our family. Today in 2020, we will share this news with you... we have decided to change our names."

Tavia, who was previously named Yeung Yi revealed that she is now Yeung Sin Yiu, while Him (originally Law Chung Him) is now Law Chi Yik.

Asked about the name change, Tavia shared that she and Him have already gone through the procedures to change the name on their ID card. The decision was made as a way to improve their feng shui and change "the family's luck" when it comes to their health.

It is noted that Tavia had difficulty conceiving in the past due to her poor health, having suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and several other ailments.

Need to publicize it - else, who will know Yeung Sin Yiu or Law Chi Yik. Some might think they are new actress / actor of TVB.

My question is how do you know these are the names that will be lucky? What is my lucky name? I need to change it too so I can win me some lottery.

If you read the article, it's for "The decision was made as a way to improve their feng shui". So I can ascertain that they must have hired a specialist, feng shui master. This isn't rare in china as many rich businessman tycoons all have feng shui masters.

When you are health, it is bullcrap. But when you are sick and nothing helps, you will try anything.

I am sure they considered all the outcomes and decided it is worth doing it for the possibility of keeping their family healthy.
