As reported on Mingpao, the news was shared by the former TVB actress on Instagram on 27 October to celebrate daughter Hera turning six months old. She wrote, "In a blink of an eye, Hera is already half a year old. Over the past year or so, we have undergone many changes. We have made this decision for the betterment of our family. Today in 2020, we will share this news with you... we have decided to change our names." Tavia, who was previously named Yeung Yi revealed that she is now Yeung Sin Yiu, while Him (originally Law Chung Him) is now Law Chi Yik. Asked about the name change, Tavia shared that she and Him have already gone through the procedures to change the name on their ID card.
