Since signing on with BMA as a singing artiste, Ron Ng was dubbed as the new kid to watch for, and he was touted to make it for various music awards under the Best Newcomer Award. However, because his recording took longer than expected, his new album’s release date was pushed to mid-December. As a result, Ron could not be nominated for the 'Metro 997 Music Awards' and the 'Top 10 Chinese Song Awards', and his chances now lie with the 1 January’s 'Chik Chak Music Award Show' and 5 January’s 《十大中文金曲》. Ron’s spokesperson said that that his album’s release date was pre-planned, and that recording artistes did not release albums just to win awards.
