Wearing dark gray colors, Ron Ng (吳卓羲) was spotted arriving at TVB City yesterday for the post-production dubbing work of the upcoming TVB anniversary drama Lord of Shanghai <梟雄>, a week after his father’s death.

As the only son in his family, Ron was expected to be fully engaged in the preparations for his father’s funeral, and thus went on a temporary work hiatus in order to spend more time with his grieving mother and sister. He only recently returned to work. His father’s funeral will be held next month.

Ron was very close to his father and is still in mourning. He said it was heartbreaking to see his father suffering from his sickness, but he also understands that death is a natural part of life, and he is coping.

Although Ron is the only son in his family, he stated that he will not retire from showbiz in order to take care of his family’s business. He expressed that he does not find himself to be a good businessman, and that his mother and sister have been doing a good job in managing his father’s work.

Ron’s TVB contract is coming to an end in a few days. The actor said he has already met up with TVB executives Virginia Lok (樂易玲) and Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍) to talk about the contract renewal, and are still in active discussion. Ron said he hopes to be able to even out his work in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Both parties are still negotiating.

He needs to take care of his family first and deal with the funeral.

But he will most likely stay and climb higher in TVB cause so many had left already.
