    Absolutely not Liverpool.

If you base the biggest club by revenue and most supported football club in the world then Man U is the biggest. Please read these extracts.

Manchester United with an estimated world wide fan base of 333 million fans, they are also the best supported club with an average of 75,000 paying fans for each home game 07/08 season. Bayern Munich are 2nd with 72,000 paying fans and Real Madrid are 3rd with just 71.000 paying fans per home game.

Real Madrid remains the world’s largest revenue generating football club, according to the latest Football Money League from business advisory firm Deloitte. Manchester United and Barcelona finished second and third in the report, which ranks the 20 biggest football clubs in the world based on revenue. Each of the top three clubs generated revenues in excess of €300m. Analysis in the Football Money League is based on the latest financial information for the 2007/08 season.
The impact of the exchange rate, and the depreciation of the Pound against the Euro has adversely impacted on the number and ranking of English clubs in the top 20. Jones added: “If the exchange rate value of the Pound had not depreciated, there would have been nine, rather than seven English clubs in the top 20 and Manchester United would have topped the Money League ahead of Real Madrid.”

every year they release an article on whos the richest club each year. think its either man utd or real madrid but as for fan base, it has to be man utd.

yeah get tevez on board!! :D hes invaluable asset to the team.

tevez is great player even though he not regular goal scoring... his fighting spirit is invaluable... but ronaldo can go anytime as he almost achieve everything at MU

u can't base which club is the biggest based on fan base nor revenue...

fan base is better than revenue, but you still have glory hunters out there... look at Chelski... do u really believe Chelski is a bigger club than any of the Italian powerhouses?

revenue doesn't necessarily work either because not everyone can afford to buy a new kit every year to support their team... not everyone has a 60,000+ seated stadium.... and like the article said, exchange rates do and other financial errs will effect the number... furthermore I certainly don't believe Arsenal is 3rd or 4th largest club in the world... but they do rake in that much revenue...

what makes a big club is which club can keep their players, and which club can attract players... ManU is done as soon as Fergie leaves there's no denying that... same with Arsenal when Arsene leaves... and Chelski soon as Roman ditches them... but teams like Liverpool/Barca/Real/Inter/Juve/Milan... these teams will always have players wanting to play there... just look at Juve when they fell to Serie B after the scandal... they kept quite a few of their stars... if ManU fell to Championship status, they'd become Leeds immediately...

If you don't base the biggest club by revenue and most supported football club. What do you suggest? Richest club? Man City is the richest club now. Which top player like to play for them? Kaka was offer £120m to go there. He refused and would only play for Man U or Arsenal but not Liverpool if he decided to play in the premier league. How about history? Man U has the same history like the teams you have suggested if not more. So stop telling me Liverpool is bigger than Man U.

That's exactly my point, revenue, cash, fanbase, those are arbitrary numbers... History is one of the better ways to discern a big club because u can't argue against consistent results... if ur gonna argue that ManU has as rich a history as the other big clubs, that's just nonsense... Liverpool pretty much doubles anything ManU has done in Europe and matches everything ManU's done at home...

furthermore Kaka didn't even want to play in the EPL... he'd move to Real b4 moving to ManU... He doesn't want to move to Liverpool mainly cuz they don't play the kind of football he likes to play...

YES more than 20 years ago. What did Liverppol win last year and this year? NOTHING. This year Man U won 3 and still one to come in 10 days time. From 1990 to 2008 Liverpool won 11 major trophies while Man U won 22 major trophies.
