Playing games on a Ati x2300 (laptop)

    yea but problem with gaming laptops is that they are expensive. much rather get a desktop also cos it has better cooling and more area for bigger fans.

    for $1,250 you could get a Gateway P-6860FX from Best Buy. Even though it only has a 1.8 GHz core 2 duo, you can just find a T9300 (2.5 GHz) from an online retailer like newegg and replace it with the 1.8 Ghz processor that it comes with. As long as you dont tear apart that sticker on the processor, if you have to send it in for warranty swap the processor back and just put the sticker back on. It comes with 1 8800M GTS which is one of the best video cards in the market atm.

    That is a really cheap laptop given the specs.

    its much harder and more annoying to upgrade laptops i think that i just don't bother. besides i don't use a laptop for gaming and so therefore that is not my priority. when getting a laptop i select it for what i would be using it for so weight, size and battery life have a greater importance.
