My justification is "who other than another person who buys the real stuff can tell the difference?" I shop and I own a few real things and it bugs me sometimes when I see the fake, but in all honesty...who really cares? The reason you buy a product is for name and "QUALITY". A knock-off doesn't last as long, as I've seen. If your a person who likes quality and fashion, good for you for liking the real stuff. If you can't afford it and can only buy the fake, please let the fake be subtle and not too obvious, otherwise it looks tacky. It's all about the name and reputation of the brand. P.S. Louis Vuitton sued Britney Spears for sabotaging their brand and reputation. Just goes to tell you how important brands are
LOL I wouldn't go to the extreme and say that everyone who carries a knock off is fake in personality, and is considered untrustworthy. People generally buy knock offs cause either they don't have the means to buy the authentic stuff or they don't feel like coughing up $300 for a bag. I, personally, don't think knock offs are worth the money. Either don't buy it and get another bag that isn't so expensive, or save up to buy the real thing. Someone in this thread said that knock offs sometimes outlive the real deal? I've yet to see that. lol But I'm not going to say it isn't true, cause its possible. However, my mom buys a lot of knock offs for herself and they've got a short life.
I do believe that people who cant afford the real stuff shouldnt buy fake. For the amount you spend on a decent looking fake bag you could get another brand like Nine West or something and that bag would be really nice. I carry real stuff and it bothers me to death when people ask, "is it real?" I totally hate that question. If i were carrying a fake one i wouldnt want to admit that!
I think that these people just can afford luxury goods and they want what wealthy people have. i don't like those type of people they seem like posers to me. i mean if you can't afford it just wait and save up geez shouldn't be that hard. i mean if you really want to look good or look rich save up and buy the real thing if you can't then just don't buy some look alike. there is really no point cuz people can tell if your stuff is fake or not. right now im just saving up =D. you don't have to be rich to buy the expensive stuff. cuz it doesn't matter if your not that rich. the only difference between up and wealthy people is that they can buy more and buy it whenever they want. while we just have to just work and save up for it. don't have to be rich to look good =D
name brand or not it's a material item. if u're buying it (fake one) to keep up with the Jones's then that should tell you something about yourself! if u're buying it (fake one) because you cant afford a real one then save up! if u're buying it (real one) cause you like it and have the money good for you! if u're buying it (real one) cause everyone else has one then again that should tell you something about yourself! start your own trends dont always be a follower

I think the issue here is not whether it is fake or not but really is the attitude that person have. Hell someone who buy real brand and goes around showing it off just pisses me off. Someone that buy fake brand and brags about how good looking while paying way less than others did also pisses me off. People can be smug about anything I don't mind buying fakes, I don't have money so that means I have to dress at Walmart!? I still like to wear good looking clothes whether it is fake or not but at least I can afford it.
Basically.. I don't think its wrong to buy fake stuffs.. I mean.. Whats wrong with buying fake stuffs when u look good in it? Well.. Most of my girl friends loves shopping in Bangkok.. Because they are cheap.. What about that.. They don't sell genuine stuffs either.. But they love it.. And they look good in it.. Therefore.. I think opposing ppl who buys fake stuffs is not right

my fd spent over $1000 on a Bally wallet... it only last abt a yr... he got so pissed off... then hid fd gave him a fake one... n he's still using it after 3 yrs hahaha... u get wot u want for 1 tenth the price... bargain... -lol
Sometimes it depends on the design... Some design is not "made to last" (see Chanel's clear plastic handbags, they last a total of 3 months before disintegrating)... You just have to pick it wisely LOL And for that price... I'd go for a Dior Homme or Ferragamo wallet...

Hang on... $200 EURO for a fake bag? That's already way too expensive man And yes Dior has a men's line called Dior Homme, designed by Frenchie Hedi Slimane, it's slick and rocker-ish. Awesome accessories there... If only they carry it in my town >.<
