I don't really care if someone likes to buy fakes or not, I'm not going to go up to them or anything to inspect or ask them if they are fake. But I personally don't like fakes, no matter how real it might look.

I think if it makes people happy to be able to own something close to something they like but cannot afford is great and that there is nothing wrong with it

If the fake items, looks good, I don't see the problem. Seriously, some of the luxury items are pretty bad looking, imo, to my wife, they look good.

To me, as long as the item looks good, I don't see the problem in buying it, or well..how useful it is.

Its like buying the New Camry 2007 rather than the 2006 camry. Something that younger kids (if they had a choice) would not be seen in.

well.. as long as ur honest abt it and not try to pretend they are real.. who cares?

but for myself, i rather not buy fake branded stuff. I'll prefer relatively unknown brands or local ones that fit my taste and are just as cheap if i can't afford the real one. I appreciate designer's creativity and do not support the notion of coping and duplicating ideas.

no, its not the same. pirated movies/ music are not fake. They are just as real but more like rejected original bags, which are of a slightly poorer quality than the quality controlled originals. Fake bags are more like songs sung by an unknown person impersonating a famous singer. Will you rather listen to that or the original? The ans is obvious isn't it?

Like alot of people in this thread, i dont see anything that bad about buying fake stuff..I mean, people want that product but they just don't want to pay like 5 times as much for the pretty much identical thing..
i dont hate them, and im not saying to the people who do buy the real thing are losers etc, i just think that its just everyones 'thing' to buy fake things or not

    real is better dan fake
cos fake u dont no wot they make the goods out from
    but depending wot u buy
    e.g if i were 2 get a key ring i would go 4 fake
but if its clothes or bag i go 4 real

You should know there are some "dumb" people who thinks fake stuff are real stuff. Some time fake stuff are better then the realy stuff. For example the apple ipod shuffle (2nd gen) and the fake shuffle with LCD (proof at http://www.s-pod.com/html/mp4_players.html). Ovbiously you would rather buy the fake shuffle with the LCD coz it way cooler

Fake things are no where near the authenticated products. Granted, if your talking about LUXURY GOODS, the quality, print and everything else is comparable, meaning there is a reservation with fakes.

I am not going to educate the retarded people who support fakes.

However, i see no big deal about it. I don't care at all, but for goods that I care, I need them AUTHENTIC. I'm not gonna wear fake JORDANS or have fake MOM shift knobs.

I would only buy a fake if it were cheap and looked relatively good; I don't get the people who spend hundreds to get a fake...if I had that kind of money for an item, then I'd just get a good "other" brand.

lol, everyone PRETTY much has the same POV here, they dont really care but prefer real, WELL who doesnt? obvious you prefer the real, but no loot means no real, so you go for second option.
sadly im not a branded person, cant give a monkies if someone gave me £1000 to buy a LV bag or whatever i want, I'd just go to H&M or something common and go splash my money out there, don't see the point in brands tbh.

plus...this is true, my aunty bought a LV bag, and like she had it in her car in the passenger side at the foot bit, i think her bag worth £1500 i think? anyway...she went to get a wheel chair for her mother who was in the back passenger seats, and as she came out, some RANDOM guy jumped through her open drivers window and snatched the bag and ran.

So like...yeah get a real thing and get mugged and feel the heart break. haha.

but what dann said about pirates and stuff and what xiaojia responded, i dno... I kind of agree with dann in a sense, i know where danns coming from, but i also see from xiao side... but its kind of like saying:
for a bag, someone just took the design of a bag and replicated best they can (the good fakes anyway), and like someone said, some even do have parts of a real, pirates is a replication of a movie...uhh...ok not explained kind of clear, but its like, you have some dude in the movies recording the film, it aint the real deal, like yeah its the actual movie and stuff, but effects and sounds are lost due to this, so like...isn't that kind of a replication, trying to capture it to its best standards?

I dno, like i said, i dont give a monkies about fakes, just like everyone DONT BUST IT LIKE ITS REAL, BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS ITS *NOT*!

I find it fascinating that while you see no big deal about counterfeit faked goods, you call those who support fakes "retarded people"...

So are they actually retarded or what?

lol how could the thief know if it was a real bag or not?.. or maybe he saw her purchasing it?

um real stuff is ALWAYS better. there's no point in getting fakes. you can spend the same amount on some other stuff that's prettier but not brand name

I guess the owner (her aunt) wouldn't be crying her eyes out if the bag is a counterfeit -sweat

Of course the authentic version is better, that's why there's actually people paying wads of cash for them. But if the person is just looking for a nice bag to last a season or so, counterfeit shouldn't be shamed as long as the person doesn't advertise it as being authentic.
