Release date(s) December 17, 2009 Country Hong Kong Language Cantonese Budget HK$100 million Review from wikipedia.org: The Storm Warriors (traditional Chinese: 風雲II; simplified Chinese: 风云II) is an upcoming 2009 Hong Kong martial arts adventure film produced and directed by The Pang Brothers. It is a sequel to the 1998 film The Storm Riders, both of which are based on the manhua Fung Wan by Ma Wing-Shing. Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok respectively reprise their roles as Wind and Cloud, who this time find themselves up against Lord Godless (Simon Yam), a ruthless Japanese warlord who intends on invading China. For the film, the Pangs were inspired by Fung Wan's popular Japanese Invasion story arc The Death Battle.[1] Shot primarily in Thailand, The Storm Warriors marks the first Chinese film to be shot in bluescreen and on custom-made sets. The film is expected to be released in Hong Kong on December 17, 2009. after 11yrs, there's only the sequel coming out, hope dun spoil the movie if lot bluescreen are used...
The trailers look good but does anyone else think that maybe there might be too much special effects? Makes it look somewhat too cartoonish.
can't wait to watch it but does have the story line like the cartoon version "Storm Rider Clash Of Evil"?
Loved the creativity behind the second trailer, hope the movie is like that EXCEPT the slow mo fighting, it was good with the first few scenes in 300, but after a while, it just got annoying.
