Some of the cutting out you do for the photoshop images isn't very sharp.. as in, the edges aren't very clean. This will be something I would work on in the future. I like your use of effects, though. . ^^ .. maybe try to focus a little on color matching too.. :x .. keep up the good work ~
You can also use the lasso tool, you can make selections and un-select areas within the selection too. By holding down ctrl or alt for adding or subtracting to/from a selection. (I think it's ctrl/alt, i dont have ps opened right now). Try experimenting with the feathering after making a selection and deleting it, only make changes with 1 pixel at a time. Feathering gives it a softer edge around the selection. You can also use the masking layer, the small rectangle icon with a circle within it in the layer palette; with the brush selected the color black masks the image and white unmask it. Hope that help. Maybe someone else can explain it better haha. With PS there's always a bunch of different ways to do the same thing. I'm no PS guru so I'm still only learning as I go along using PS. Edit: Here's a tut by kontradictions http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showpost.php?p=396472&postcount=2 It have pics, so it's automatically 10X better than my explaination haha
