Credits to Dramasian.com! The 2nd Annual Mr. Hong Kong Pageant held its preliminary selection rounds yesterday at TVB. Overall the quality of the candidates were average, with no outstanding handsome faces to be found. However, there were quite a few muscular men among the applicants. The oldest applicant was Mr. Chan, who is 41 years of age. The youngest applicant was 16. There were a total of 150 applicants at the interview yesterday. There was a 31 year old Mr. Chan who was dressed unimpressively and had a backpack with him. Mr. Chan was nicknamed by the press as "Motorcycle Man." There was also another applicant who demonstrated his "moving" pec muscles and another who did one-handed push-ups. Although the reporters think that the mentioned candidates will likely not make the final rounds, they brought a lot of laughter to the scene yesterday. The Mr. Hong Kong Pageant producer, Ho Lai Chuen, said that the majority of the applicants were college educated, with 2 who hold Masters and 2 who hold PhD degrees. The applicants yesterday had to wear shorts and demonstrate their skills on various exercise machines. They also had to wear swimming trunks to show off their bodies.
