Watching this tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival. The plot sounds somewhat typical but the concept is said to be weird/original. Lau Ching Wan won an award at Venice film festival. Has anyone seen this in Toronto yet? What are your thoughts?
Sorry, I usually don't see any Asian (in particular Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean, Taiwan and Chinese) films during TIFF since I know I can get my paws on the DVDs in a few week's time... Unless the director's name is Ang Lee, of course, in which case I will be willing to bend that rule a little -sweat
It was a pretty good experience. Johnny To wasn't at the final showing of course, but it was still fun to watch.
i only watch half of it cos it bored me so much wierd thing was he cut his ear off to give to his boss as a present for farewell retirement party
