    @hiake: would that be that tofu dessert with the liquid sugar thing on top?

    If you dont want the shells to crack and leak content into the pot, its best that way. -chef

    @dann: nope, the ones you talk about is a different kind of tofu... the consistency is different (more runny than tofu blocks)

    @wind: you can always put vinegar in the pot of water to keep the leak content in check :)

    You don't exactly MAKE those tofu thing... you buy them in those plastic containers @_@b Just like you don't exactly "make" chicken bouillons @_@b

    But you gotta make those sugary water thing though... the things which come in the plastic bucket thingy doesn't have any taste :p
     
  7. you do make chicken stock.... we make our own chicken stock for homemade pho...

    Well, if everyone make chicken stock there wouldn't be a market for chicken bouillon now would it?

    It's not like you CAN'T make those dessert, it's more like... nobody really know (unlike soy milk which is relatively easy to make)

    Its faster to buy at the grocery but definitely possible to make.

    the base for Pho Soup


    Cow Bones
    Onion
    Star Anise

    boil for several hours, 4 to 6 hours minimum

    than top off with cilantro
