I dont have that problem. Anyway, I heard some friends of mine got that sometime but I never understand why they have it.
I had this problem until i was 12. I just didnt feel like remembering lol. I only started to remember when my friend did some "left right " thing with his ahnd and i ould always remmeber that.
lol the shoe thing is funny. thats like me. if one give me one shoe, i wont be able to tell if its the left ro right, i need to see the two side by side. haha. and it does take me a while to figure out left or right. i ahve a hard time giving ppl directions ahaha.. u can tell left or right but it takes u a while right? maybe both hemispheres of ur brain are so equal that there is no left or right. aha that makes no sense. but i dont think it makes u stupid. in fact i know someone who is left/right handed and hes really smart.
I've never heard of this before but I think the fact that you can write with both hands and play on either side is pretty cool b/c having a strong side can be a weakness for even professional players...... and so what if it takes you longer to figure out which shoe you put on which foot?
ya I have that problem in chinese, but not in english so much. sometimes when i am giving direction, i do point to the left and say turning right etc that about it. but my right hand is my most dominent.
I can distinguish perfectly. But I know a friend of a friend of mine who can't, and uhh...he's retarded. On the other hand, my little sister is ambidextrous, she's a genious. She doesn't have no problem. I don't think the 2 are related.
point to the sky with both hands with thumbs pointing to each other. the one that makes an L is left. the other is right. done
i'm ambidextrous too but i've never had problems with my lefts and rights...but i usually write with my right hand so my writing hand is always right and the other one is well...left.
lol.. some ppl do have that problem. But usually, they only have problem identifying left/right with their secondary languages.. especailly Chinese.. for some obscure reason.
I dont find it strange at all, in fact my sister always put the her foot into the wrong shoe, which I find really funny. But lucky for me I dont have this problem
^ lol.. that abit extreme isn't it? Its like the thread starter.. But somehow that doesn't really sound like an inability to distinguish left from right.. haha.. but not sure how to explain.
You know in english you always say: North, East, South, West But in Chinese you always say: 東, 南, 西, 北 East, South, West, North... So you start from East instead of North... and that mess me up... b/c of that... I didn't realize I got the direction mess up until I was like 12...
^ I never knew they say N, E, S, W in English... I guess it has something to do with the compass on the map only have the N direction? Us Chinese look towards the sun, so it's East first
