Depending on where you live, reflections from snow/ice may be brighter light than the actual sunlight... So overcast doesn't necessary means dimmer light. Those treatments render the patient prone to cataract, not sure why or how, but that's what my ophthalmologist told me anyways.
Well i had the PRK version of eye surgery done less than 2 months ago. Surgery didn't hurt at all (even though the video was pretty annoying) Pretty much u need to be over 21 yrs old and have a stable vision for the past yrs. Myself, i'm like -6.75 and -6.25 on my eyes. Your eyes have a thin skin over it to protect it. Lasik makes a cut and then flips the skin over and uses the laser to remove part of the stroma. PRK uses a brush to brush off the skin and then uses the laser. Prk takes a lot longer to heal, usually 1-3 months to start seeing well. Lasik, u'll see a difference the next day. If you do prk, be prepare to feel pain the next 1-2 days after surgery.
i don't think it's worth it.. tho i have had friends who did it that said are completely safe.. but i think it's possible to be that 1% of person who got it messed up depending on ur luck?
I would do it if it was bad, my eyesight. If it can save you trouble for many years, why not? But check out the risk and consult a doctor first. Then when you know what you're up against, make a decision. With today's technology, it'll probably be ok. My teacher had a surgery for her eyes. She never wore glasses again even after i left school for 3 years. Seems pretty good, worth a try if your eyesight is very bad. And there's always risk when it comes to surgery right? But the one doing the surgery would have done it before so the risk is mild that a mistake can happen? That's my opinion lar.
I have two opinions which are the same. My cousin made this surgery 7 years ago and she still doesn't need glasses anymore. My collegue is the same, he did it 14 years ago and he's still okay. They both don't regret it. Their sight were approximatively about -5 or something like that, it was myopa. I heard that the effects of this surgery last about 10 years, but it can be longer, veeeeery longer ! I'd also like to do this surgery, I can't bear my contacts and glasses anymore O_O You juste have to check with the doctor first, he only can tells if the surgery is worth doing it.
i have really bad eye sight and i've known 2 people that have done it. they both said it was very convenient. but most doctors i've talked to says it's most effective for people with really bad eyesight... i think i'll get it when im older and when i have the money of course
hmmm my boss at work has had it... they sed it cost £££ and that dammm it hurts like hellll... literally she was scarying me about how much it hurt o.0 BUTTT she sed it was worth it in the end o.0.... it all depends on your eye sight really... if you as blind as a bat then go ahead ^^
not quite sure but can't you just wear contacts? theyre much MUCH cheaper than laser surgery and you might have a chance of losing your vision or something
From what I have heard of or seen of, It cost a lot and it has both bad and good. Between glasses/contacts/surgery I would pick glasses because it don't itches the eyes and you can change the designs any time you want.
I have 20/20 vision, so no need to worry for Laser surgery. I don't if it hurts, I don't think it does, but if you look up the procedures for it, it will gross you out dramatically. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't hurt, it just feels uncomfortable while they are doing it.
Basicly take your own risk, it is better to get it, but whether the results are good or not will depend on how good the doctor is and whether you think your eyes is worth fixing...
i did it LASIK i love it i did a lasik last week. it was perfect. it doesnt hurt. the surgery takes about 2 minutes per eye. during the process you have to focus your sight on a red point and for a second you will lose the sight of the color. after the surgery 4 days later i could see nearly perfect a 20 20 vision. i got an apointment on friday to do test ... then made the surgery on wednesday. after the surgery you have to sleep to rest your eyes and stay at home for one day and wear sunglasses for one week and take 3 different eye drops during one week. after two days you can see very clearly the wide objects but the near objects still be a little bit blury, this will go away after 2 or 3 days, cost i paid 1750 per eye. i made it in pan pacific laser in hawaii honolulu. it is worth. i hope i could help you with your decision.
^ whoaaa 2 mins per eye and thas 1750 each...thas expensive...!! "nearly perfect 20/20"..??...so it wasnt that successful or is it too early to tell still...
