Good looking? Kate I think you mean well groomed. Sonija was a good cop because she wasn't well groomed on the job but was nice out of work.
I agree with the majority, Kate is a pretty bad actress and this role is a big downfall for her. Everything seems just wrong on her, the hair is wrong, the walking is really awkward, the way she talks, the clothing doesn't reflect a cop, nothing feels right!
it's just the way that she acts that makes it unconvincing that she's a cop. i never been a fan of kate tsui. don't think she can act. never was a fala fan either but since watching her in HOG2 and No Regrets I think she can act. more convincing than kate

I actually like Kate, and have followed her since Miss HK days. She's blossomed a lot and I think she's one of the better girls out there. I do agree sometimes she exaggerates a bit, but over all I like her.
Kate is a pretty bad actress. She is better as an obnoxious slutty bitch, such as her lawyer role in Omission. She looks nowhere like a cop. I mean if she was a regular CID or maybe sergeant, but senior inspector? She cannot act like a cop, and doesn't even look pro enough to be a cop. I think she's better off if she traded spots with Nancy Wu.
