Japanese population to start shrinking in new year

    yea I agree, its really an economical problem, because the working people have to pay for teh sick and elderly, and if theres less young people, this will be a problem. but in general, the world is very over populated, and especially asia, and japan, so I think its a good thing really. look at china, they have this one child policy. thats because overpopulation is an even bigger problem.

    ^ The thing is, with the shrinking population, there will be nobody to support the social systems and afford the elderlies when they retire...

    The economy will suffer.

    And China is not a great comparison because China has never quite able to produce enough wealth to go around to begin with...
