Three Hong Kong stars were recently awarded honorary titles by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
As reported on Mingpao, singer Jacky Cheung, actor-producer Louis Koo and comedian Wong Cho Lam were recently awarded by the academy - with the former being given the honorary doctorate, while Louis and Wong were awarded honorary academicians.
Speaking to the media about the recognition, Jacky expressed, "When I was a child, I only knew that I had to study well and read a lot to get a Ph.D. I didn't think I would have that chance. When the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts awarded me the title of Honorary Doctorate, I didn't know what to do. I only know that we must try our best to do better in the future."

He also thanked his friends and fans who believed in him and supported him for many years.
As for Louis, the actor stated that he hopes to continue promoting the development of the Hong Kong film industry and cultivate a new generation of film talents.

Wong Cho Lam, who also graduated from the said academy in the past, stated, "These 18 years of hard work has been recognised by my alma mater. I was awarded an honorary academician by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts today (previously). I am honoured and will continue to work hard in the future."
