Hey guys, so I'm planning to buy a folding mountain bike and I've spotted a nice looking one on Craigslist for $220. So I've sent an email to the seller and we've set a meeting on the coming Tuesday the 19th.

The thing I'm worry about is that the meeting will be at
"West 141 Street at the corner of Broadway"

I know that Broadway is a busy area so it should be safe, right? But since it is in Harlem, I'm a bit paranoid about going to that area.

So if anyone have any experience of going there or live by 141 West Broadway please let me know how it's like and if I should go with the plan. Thanks.

Or also if anyone went to BMCC or City College and know the neighborhood, what do you think of it?

  2. find someone to go with you, don't bring cash but upon your decision, request him to follow you to an ATM in a public place (also bring along the bike) trade the cash and bike within the bank area and allow him to leave first.... if you are not comfortable with the purchase better be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will definitively bring a friend along.

Yah looks alright, hopefully there will be more people there when I go.
