^ nope can't be done.. Update: I think some of my processes may have been messed up.. like the firewall and windows update were disabled.. had to set back those processes.. so many its something else in the services thats preventing me from installing the programs I need.. I'm still not sure.. Upon testing out the Knoppix.. I realized it doesn't have the antivirus on it.. so I may need to get the 4gb dvd version.. Right now.. I think I might give that Anti-virus BootCD another go.. I found a guide on what files I need to build the cd.. so I might make one tomorrow and test htat out first..
ecko is their anything that is preventing you from doing a full wipe of the hdd and reinstalling windows?
I FOUND IT!!! apparently I got something called a "Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Bagle.kp" Now... I have 1 file that's been infected, but don't think that file alone can cause the harm.. how I need some way to remove the damn thing!!
I'm following these guides for more help.. http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=61850&st=20 http://forums.devshed.com/antivirus...-any-antivirus-because-of-a-not-a-512484.html So apparently I got this Combofix program to run after renaming it.. so I suppose the virus was blocking list of Antivirus programs with certain names.. and I'm not quite sure if it deleted any of the infections.. but theres def. something up with this Srosa which is part of the virus.. or another name for it.. I currently running another online virus scanner.. as of I'm still not quite sure what to do next.. hopefully this one will find and delete the files for me..
Update: well looks like that combofix and online scanner did the trick!! I was able to install AVG.. however.. I'm still have trouble getting the programs to update.. ad-aware, avg won't update..
just to let u know that, dont run combofix without a trained user guiding u. U can try asking help from swi forum on using combofix. They are train for that.
After this little incident, wouldn't you be wise to get another AV? If you have enough ram, use Kaspersky.
I posted one of the easiest ways to delete the trojan that was detected days ago and you're still struggling with the problem? Damn..
well he doesn't want to reinstall the whole of windows and tbh i don't blame him, its effort to backup and reinstall everything and it takes quite a bit of time.
combofix works the same as normal virus scanner expect it doesnt have fancy design. it performs faster and more detail on the job it do. it also gives u a 3m report which is basically a 3month report on what is modify on ur pc. if u have any questiom, u can try contacting the creator named sUBs
dude.. thas because that anti-virus didn't work.. just like the rest.. and unblocker was kinda useless to me in that situation.. so I mean thanks for the advice tho..
No, it's unlocker. The program can unlock any file on your PC that's currently being used and deletes it either immediately or after a restart.
I understood that. That's why I suggested unlocker. It's not an anti-virus program but it'll remove any file you need removed.
why did you guys kept on suggesting programs for him to use? it's so clear that the virus or whatever it is, is messing around with his comp and preventing him from doing anything that can remove it. if you not an expert and cannot remove it manually then reformating is your best choice. you should have a perfect working system by now if you chose the path of reformating . wonder how you get such a hardcore virus....................................the only time i get those hardcore virus is when i go to crack/patch.......................
