How to burn images (.iso, .bin, etc.) - usful when burning any media (movies, games, etc.)

    What are these files?

These files are clone CDs of the legit retail version...by burning these images, you are burning the retail CD...and thus you get the exact files you get in the original CD on the CD in which you are burning...did that sound confuesing? lol

To burn these images onto a CD follow these steps:

    1. Download Nero Burning Rom
    2. Goto "Nero" on start menu
    3. Move Crusor to Nero 6 Ultra Edition
    4. Move Crusor to nero express
    5. Select "Disc Image or saved product"
Choose the .cue file to burn the .bin file (The .cue file is a file required in recognizing the .bin file...so in order to burn the .bin file you need to start the process by first opening .cue - it would automatic "path" to the .bin file and start burning)

Choose the .iso file to burn the .iso file

If you are to burn .mdf images, you must need alcohol 120 percent program to burn...nero does not allow burning of those files...

    1. Download Alcohol 120 percent
    2. Open Alcohol 120 percent
    3. Click on image burning wizard on the left hand side
    4. Click on browse
    5. Choose the associated .mdf file you want to burn (so .mds file) - same idea as the .bin file

IF you do not want to burn these files, you can set up these CD in a virtual drive...a drive that tricks ur comp letting them know a "CD" is in the "HD"

You can either use alcohol 120 percent or Deamon Tools to do this

If Deamon tools then follow these steps:

    1. Download Deamon Tools (simply search for this on google)
    2. Open Deamon tools
    3. On your task bar...a deamon tool icon would show up...right click that icon
    4. Goto Virtual CD/DVD Rom
    5. Goto Device 0: [the virtual drive ] No Media
    6. Click on Mount Image
    7. Choose the image you wish to mount
    8. It would auto load just like a CD but on ur HD...or if it doesn't load...just goto My Computers, and double click on the virtual drive

    If Alcohol 120 percent

    1. Open Alcohol 120 percent
    2. At the bottom double click on virtual CD/DVD-Rom(0), until a drive pops up
    3. Right click that drive, click on mount image, and choose the image in which u would like to mount

If you want to burn a Audio CD...simply follow these steps [When your cd player does not support MP3/WMA]:

    - This burns by time

    1. Download Nero Burning Rom
    2. Goto "Nero" on start menu
    3. Move Crusor to Nero 6 Ultra Edition
    4. Move Crusor to nero express
    5. Goto music, then choose Audio CD
    6. Click on add
    7. Choose the songs you want to add (hint: highlight if you want to add more than one at a time)
    8. Click on Add
    9. When finsh adding all the songs...click on finsh
    10. Click next
    11. Then click on burn

If you want to burn a mp3 CD...simply follow these steps [When your cd player does support MP3/WMA]

    - This burns by "size" - advantage, now you can burn 200 songs onto one CD!

    1. Download Nero Burning Rom
    2. Goto "Nero" on start menu
    3. Move Crusor to Nero 6 Ultra Edition
    4. Move Crusor to nero express
    5. Click on data
    6. Click on data disc
    6. Click on add
    7. Choose the songs you want to add (hint: highlight if you want to add more than one at a time)
    8. Click on Add
    9. When finsh adding all the songs...click on finsh
    10. Click next
    11. Then click on burn

How to burn VCDs, when you DO NOT have an image, instead u have either .dat or .mpeg files

    1. Download Nero Burning Rom
    2. Goto "Nero" on start menu
    3. Move Crusor to Nero 6 Ultra Edition
    4. Move Crusor to nero express
    5. Goto Video/Pictures
    6. Click on Video CD
    7. Click on Add
    8. Click on the movie you want to burn [either .dat or .mpg file]
    9. Click on add
    10. Click on Finsh
    11. Click on next
    12. click on burn

Burning Subtitles (subtitle files onto avi file)

Explained carefully here and then you need to convert the file to DVD (if you plan to watch it on a DVD player) unless you got a dvd player that plays divx

Format not avi, see the conversion guide below

Conversion Guide: AVI, MPEG1/2/4, VCD/SVCD/DVD, DivX, XVid, ASF, WMV and RM/RMVB

Simple answer : Winavi (shareware but can be found on any known BT site)

    For Example: RM to DVD

Click on Menu, Convert, Any to DVD, VCD, SVCD, MPEG (or click on the circle icons to the right hand side of the screen)

and then pick your RM file, after you done that you get the screen below

Select your preferred output desination and then click on the Advanced tab, here you can change the the size of the output file by quality, etc to whatever you want

then click ok and you be back to the 2nd screenshot then click ok to convert

"To Burn" click on the Menu and "Burn Disc" (see 1st screenshot) or click on this icon

and then you burning application should run and you can choose to burn finished file to DVD/VCD, etc

Thanks for the info, imp, but I was wondering...does anyone know how to burn .BUP or .IFO files? NERO seems to be able to burn all files except for these 2... :(

I found winavi to be the best tool for converting RMVB to DVD files.
You can also use Tmpgenc DVD Author to create menus

DIVX is better, cuz it's file codec from DVD, that's y it's will give u the quality good as DVD's quality
