Can u elaborate a little more on how genetics plays a role in our personality?

Kids being prone to peer pressure and others are not. This can be associated with ones upbringing and not neccessarily genes..

it can be bad and it can be good becuz the bad thing is that humans naturally think that things are "too good to be truth" and a bunch of others which im too lazy to list :p

    The Female Flaw

A young girl was trudging along a mountain path trying to reach her grandmothers house. It was bitter cold and the wind cut like a knife. When she was within sight of her destination she heard a rustle at her feet. Looking down she saw a snake. Before she could move, the snake spoke:

"I am about to die," he said. "It is too cold for me up here, and I am freezing. There is no food in these mountains, and I am starving. Please put me under your coat and take me with you."

"No!" replied the girl. "I know your kind. You are a rattlesnake. If I pick you up, you will bite me and your bite is poisonous."

"No, no!" said the snake. "If you help me you will be my best friend. I will treat you differently."

The little girl sat down on a rock for a moment to rest and think things over. She looked at the beautiful markings on the snake and had to admit that it was the most beautiful snake she had ever seen.

Suddenly she said, "I believe you. I will save you. All living things deserve to be treated with kindness."

The little girl reached over, put the snake gently under her coat and proceeded toward her grandmother's house.

Within a moment she felt a sharp pain in her side. The snake had bitten her. "How could you do this to me?" she cried. "You promised, and I trusted you!"

"You knew what I was when you picked me up," hissed the snake as he slithered away.

We are born neutral and I would like to think that most of us are good at the beginning , coz of the protection our parents provide

no matter how civililized we have become, we are after all beasts. we may no longer use our own hands to kill, but that does not take away the fact that something must die in order for us to survive another day. without death, there is no life.

    I believe order is bad...
because it means that there is no longer trust in one another... and we have to build rules to keep each other from chaos therefore orders have to set in place...

now about the snake and other animals that don't have a large brain; first they aren't able of sentiment and do things as learnt in the past or programmed in their gene.
Humans is a one of kind on earth with a large brain that is sometimes acting not in line of what we can expect of mamals. Now good of bad, i guess we can say grey. it all depend of the point of view: for example mr. x killed Mr.y is mr. x a bad guy? ....
What about now when i tell you that mr.y is a buglar and breaking in the house of mr.x with a big gun planning to kill and rob mr.x... is mr.x still a bad guy?.....
other point of view, at world war in europe ppl killed alot of cat because there isn't anything else to eat; does those ppl mind about animal protection in that particular situation? are they cruel?
it's all point of view and trends; like pissing on the streets 100 year ago it is normal, now it is forbidden....
about genes, it does depend alot of our body but do it also write our personality; i guess not unless something mess up (autist, other anomalies...) even two identical twins growing up seperatly won't have the same personality; so it does depend on our environment; that is the main thing of human nature; we can adapt easily and that means also our attitude. when? i guess when we are teenagers, most of our attitude and point of view were built....

Human nature is to survive at all cost. When it's you or them, people usually care for themselves.

We are born evil, seen thru the selfish act of all babies to survive (crying, being ignorant of others)
That's why we need education, we learn to constrain ourselves from the selfish and other evil instincts.

I tend to think that human is good and turn bad based on influence.
