take a stick, keep hitting it until it gets hard oh sorry i did not know ur a girl then in that case try squats? helps with ur back too and maybe hop exercises.
Thanks for all your advice. Please excuse the long reply...been busy with exams and forgot about this topic! - Wow, you sound very knowledgeable!!! Like a real professional! Maybe you are? - -what? Hypertrophy?!?.... I do get some weakness in the calves... but could that just be that they're sore? I do walk quite a bit. Maybe I do need to see the doc after all......-ann - LOL... Not literally, but they are quite big... big enough for me to have trouble fitting knee high boots, they always get stuck mid way up my calves. Shame too, they'd help hide the bulk of my calves... but I can't be wearing boots in summer either... *Sigh* - My legs are shaped like two coke bottles stacked on top of one another? - Hmmm... I wasn't aware of this, might just give it a go. My calves are quite 'hard'... feels like all muscle. - I have started to wear heels more, but I must admit I'm not very 'stable' in them and can only walk so far in them. But I'm slowly getting there. - My toes aren't the problem, it's the arch of the feet that hurts like hell - feels like they're being over stretched. I used to always wear runners, so I've lost the arch in my feet. Is there a way to regain that arch? I hear having the arch does help with wearing heels? - I'm Chinese - Cos... It's not very flattering. I'd just love to wear skirts/dresses/shorts without feeling insecure about my legs. I can't wear long skirts/dresses cos I've quite short, they'd make me looks stumpy.
hmm..i agree with T.O...think there are some cardio exercises or machines in gyms which target calves?? If u don't really exercise and suddenly start running/jogging..your calves may get bigger due to increase in muscle mass.. thats what i think..^^
Running and any exercise will reduce body fat providing you eat less, do research. But sometimes I think its partially because of genetics... but I guess just give it a go with exercise and eating restricted calories. BTW, you can't target one area to decrease the size, you have to go through the whole body, but then, sometimes your body might start to burn fat in the calves area first or it will burn more fat in that area... I hope I didn't sound like I contradicted myself... what I'm saying is that there is no such thing as spot-reduction, the body burns fat from all over the place.
pics? lol j/k but if you want to decrease the size of your calf is going to take a while. But if you want some attractive legs try to jog/run every morning or so. But do not do any squat it will make them bigger.
