for my dress i went to LA chinatown (when visiting my cousin) and bought a KayPo dress for 25 dollars then back home, i got to be my friend's date and he goes to this all boys private school so i'm surrounded by all these high school guys driving BMW and lexus and whatnot and one of them asks me, "was that taylored" I about melted when i heard that comment note: I also got to use that dress twice, once for his graduation dinner, and then again for my prom night
well for my prom, my budget was £100, but i went over by £10 but its all good.. lucky i got my accessories b4hand..=)
hehe. on one hand, i have friends who would spend $300-400 including the dress (which may cost up to $250), sandals, accessories, nails, hairs, make up (the whole shebang) and whatever she has to get her date. on the other hand, i have a friend who gets a family friend to do her hair, does the nails herself (or her family does it), buys sandals/dress on sale and goes to a department store for her makeup. the most expensive thing on her list: the thing she has to get for her date which was around $40 i think. so all in all, around $100 total or a little more.
i am the opposite of most girls. i would spend no money on prom not even one cent. i believe prom is just a way of wasting money. i would rather use that money for something else like grad school or something else that would last. prom is only for one day why would i waste so much money for one day......
i ended up spending $15 tickets $20 dress (it was 85% off then another 80%) $15 shoes (75% off) good night
