oh rele, so they followed what they did with the psp. thats gd as it means i could just get a ps3 from like hk for much cheaper, get games there but still be able to play games bought from the uk. then again im still not gonna buy it for a long while as it is too pricey.
^ if i didn't buy my ps3 when it first came out i woulda bought one from HK...white is such a nice color for the ps3. i think sony got sick of losing soo much sales to people modifying their ps2 so they could play the import games and instead just unlock the system... i did hear that some games are locked but its very dependent on the developers themselves
In HK with a price of 2680 HKD is way cheaper than any where else. So if ya are in HK, don't forget to buy your PS3 Yeah, some games are locked by region like Army of Two. In this game ya can only play with folk on the same continent.
I think the game is about 59.99 in the US. It just came out not long ago. I think it's a little too late now for me to get a ps3 in HK. heh The ps3 has some nice graphics when used with the hdmi cable but there doesn't seem to be too many good games for the ps3.

I thought the ps3 was not locked at all, no choice for the developer? wasnt it for the 360 where the developers had a choice cause GTA4 for 360 is region locked, but for ps3 it is not. So if Rockstar had a choice why would they lock it on the 360 but not the ps3?
hmm maybe cos micrsoft wanted them to lock it. maverick how large is the hd that comes with the ps3 for 2680HKD cos thats like dead cheap and is that anywhere or the cheapest u can find it in HK?
^ i bet that price is for the 40gb no backward compatibility system...though the good thing is if you buy from HK they give you all kinds of other stuff when you buy things with them...i bought dynasty warriors 6 and a dualshock 3 when i was in HK and they dude gave me 2 shirts, a cloth bag, 2 calendars, some vip sony screaning passes and a monkey. i wish they did that in the states :( sony gave the developers the option to lock the games if they wanted, thought 99% of the games for the ps3 are region free and play on any ps3. trust them to do that. microsh*t. @ tonkachi so it rele is that cheap for a 40gb ps3, impressive and with dual shock 3 controller as well. if thats normal price i reckon u can get it for even cheaper then.
PS3 is not region locked. But the Army of 2 is a special case. The developers has chosen to have regions to prevent lag in the game. It's the 40GB, without the emotion chip for hardware ps2 backward compatibility. But ya get lotta extra goodies. US and EU never have these good bargains.
