I wouldn't want to dye my hair if I don't have to but.... sigh.... too much grey hair that it looks HORRIBLE if I don't dye my hair ( I'm not THAT old ok ? ) So I just DIY at home most of the time lor. But I like red/violet type of colour nei =)
for people who want to dye their hair at home, i would suggest asian hair dyes like palty or beauteen. those ones are japanese and they give great results. and they cost about the same as drugstore ones, at least in canada.
well based on my own experience, i feel that hair dyed by pro is better cause they use better products while the DIY kits tend to make your hair dry and brittle. I agree too that purple is a nice color but is not easy to be taken care for
I try to do it at home but the colors don't come out right...My hair is just to dark so I do it at the salon.
I colour my hair at home. usually do the whole head. it's much cheaper. expensive to do at the salon.
i prefer to do it at a salon. Since im a guy and have no idea how to dye my own hair. I think it only cost like 60 for cut and dye for a guy.
i used to bleach and dye my own hair when i was a student coz i had no money lol. but now i dye my hair at a salon. i think salon results look alot better than dying your own hair. dying your own hair often comes out uneven and all.
i've done it once at a salon, results were good, but kind of expensive to keep up with, so i've been doing it at home ever since, just have trouble getting the colour right, hard to know which colour will show on asian hair
it's better to do it at the salons cuz they're still the pros in the end, and besides that, the products they use are generally better than the DIY kits purchase from grocery stores
personally, if you just do a regular one tone dye, you should just dye it at home, but if you a highlight, do it at a salon.
My original hair colour was black.. but its actually not that purple as shown in my pics because of the light and camera.. makes it look way more purple than it is
i get professional products and DIY at home... i only use one particular brand of hair dye products coz my hair feels smoother after each dye and doesn't give me split ends like others do...
i went from main stream hairdressers to neighbourhood. now, i would say pro professional down to just pro lol. so yes i do go to professionals for my hair, it is just less extream then it was .
