the pill works great. u might have to try a couple different pills to see what works for you. right now i'm about to switch to the NuvaRing, Its a clear flexible plastic ring that gradually releases hormones which u insert in ur body for 3 weeks. u dont have to worry about taking ur pill on time, or forgetting ur pill altogether. a few of my friends have made the switch and they love it!
i m pills for the past 4 years. the gd thing of those pills r dat they make my boobs go up by 1 cup size. hahaha the bad effects are that they make u get fat easier and other side effects on the body. if u dun have to take it dun. 'coz currently i have suffering from this pain from my boobs 'coz of the pills. if i choose to have baby or pain in the chest. i rather have pain in the chest
HAHAHAHAHAAHA.. Some of your are hilarious. 1) DRUGS are DRUGS !! They have side effects whether you accept this or not. 2) You have clear skin does not mean it'll work the same for others. I don't think messing around with hormones is a good thing. I've heard the myths about people who eventually want kids find it hard as they become hooked on the pills and etc etc. etc etc.
"How often do blood clots occur with oral contraceptives? Blood clots only happen very occasionally in women using oral contraceptives, and deaths from blood clots are even more rare. The risk of having a blood clot depends on a number of factors. It increases with age and it also depends on what kind of oral contraceptive is being taken......" quoted from http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/consumers/leaflets/oralcontraceptives.asp http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/profs/datasheet/f/femulentab.htm this link talks about one brand of OC....side effects, how it works...etc...everything is there
^ the pills causes the egg to not attach to the uterin lining therefore reducing your chances of getting pregnant when having unprotected sex...which you should be doing unless you are sure the partner is STD safe. second some of the other stuff are side effects of the drugs, like the cramp relief, increase in breast size, regulation of period cycle and a reduction in breakouts with acne one of the major draw backs i see in using BC pills is the amount of time your body needs to re-regulate its hormone levels after you are off them and instead to have kids
Not a girl, but I thought I'd reply ne ways Anyone taking BC pills are generally people who don't plan on having kids ne ways, so no harm i guess. Increase in breast size...thats a first.
ok... i've done a lil bit abt the reproductive system in my cause n here's wot i know... basically there're 2 types of pills... one is the combined pill which is a combination of oestrogen and prgesterone... n the other one is called the mini pill which is progesterone only... if u take the combined pill... the oestrogen n progesterone in ur blood builds up thus "switching off" the FSH and LH in the pituitary stopping ovulating... in other words it's kinda creating an illusion of pregnancy... so ur endometrial lining thickens to creat a comfortable place for the fertilised ovum to develope... once u stop the intake of the pill the level of oestrogen n progesterone drops causing the endometrial lining to shed n mentruation occurs... the mini pill on the other hand doesn't stop ovulation... it provides a cervical mucus barrier the whole month preventing sperms passing through to fertilise the egg... a lot of women would find themselves pregnant coz they missed one mini pill... some side effects maybe bleeding between periods, weight gain or loss, sore breasts, nausea, mood swings, migraine, excessive hair growth (if ur on the mini pill)... but it varies with different ppl some women say they've been taking the pills for yrs n finally when they want to have children it becomes really hard n they blame it on the pills... but acutally it's not the pills thats making it difficult... it's their age... older women r a lot harder to fall pregnant than younger women...
You can try the 3 monthly injection "depo" (short for depo pravolera or something.. google it!) it works for me coz you only have to take one shot every 3 months, u don't have to worry if you miss even just 1 pill... and periods are lighter and not as much cramps as before...
all of you who condone drugs and pills are dumb, selfish retarded people. why would u suggest a girl or someone using BCP as a contraceptive? why would u condone using drugs to messing up your system? drugs of any matter is BAD and WILL CARRY side effects, whether u accept this fact or not. Drugs are DRUGS, in chinese language, drugs = WEAK. it makes your body weak, it throws your body off. Drugs of this nature is not good at all. Drugs that destroy pregnancy is even worse. when you tamper with your NATURAL HORMONE, be there to realize the side effects. if you want to take steroids, be there to handle the side effects. most of you do not know obviously. i see no reason why someone should use BCP to regulate, their hormones. to be used as a contraceptive is even more absurd. who in the fudging world would have no HEALTH PROBLEMS? i'd like to meet you. are you a robot or a computer, and even then, those crap out. to say that people have no health problems is hilarious and dumb. man, most of you here are kids and have no clue. any form of drug will carry side effects. why make a girl take it if it isn't even natural and if there's no reason.
lol! what a great rant, i love this kinda shit. first of all, drugs in chinese may mean 'weak', but drugs in english just means drugs. of course there are side effects to synthetic drugs, but there are side effects to natural ones too. BCP's can cause * irregular menstrual bleeding * nausea, weight gain, headaches, dizziness, and breast tenderness * mood changes * blood clots (rare in women under 35 who do not smoke) oh no'z, this sounds bloody deadly, but lets take a look at a natural drug now.. off the top of my head, maybe a drug that acts as a sedative... oooh lets say 'Alcohol'. Alcohol is pretty much as natural as it gets, being as it forms over time as things like fruits ferment. now what are some side effects of alcohol... hmm.. *Long-term excessive drinking can lead to pancreatitis (that is, an inflammation of the pancreas). Pancreatitis is associated with severe abdominal pain and excessive weight loss and can result in death. *Impaired mental functioning – Loss of verbal memory and slower reaction times are associated with drinking, as are mild neurological impairments such as headaches and insomnia. *Liver disorders – About 10% to 35% of heavy drinkers develop alcoholic hepatitis (damaging inflammation in the liver). And, between 10% to 20% of these individuals develop cirrhosis, a progressive scarring of the liver that can eventually be fatal. *Pregnancy and infant development complications – Even moderate amounts of alcohol can have damaging effects on the developing fetus, including low birth weight and an increased risk for miscarriage. High amounts can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, a condition that can cause mental and growth retardation. ooooh shit, from the facts it looks like something as natural as alcohol, which has been around for thousands of years, can be absolutely terrible to the human body. But i guess it cant be as bad as those evil BCP's which, in their mockingly unassuming pill form, have the power to destroy the universe as we know it. However, from your post i doubt that my words will have any impact at all on a mind as closed as yours. but meh, i will say this, unless you are a doctor or an individual with some actual medical background, your conjecture filled rant is entirely baseless. You can now return to your regular daily activities.. like dry humping your cousin.
LOLz@Espresso Bunny getting pwned by fearless. -clapclap Anyway, I heard the birth control pill can change women's desires in men due to the change in estrogen levels. They did a study and women on the pill had a desire for more "manly men" I guess you could say, but when they got off of it, the attraction was nowhere near as strong as it was. I felt bad because a lot of the women in the study were married -lol
i had weight gain, only slightly tho. taking the pill IN A WAY allows you to control your period, I mean if you was on the pill, but you go on holiday when your period starts you can continue to your next packet without your break. the pill should only be taken by people who don't really have blood problems, you should always refer to your doctor/nurse about it, any medical history should be known by them otherwise your endangering yourself. I been on the pill for a VERY long time, longer than 2 years, maybe 3 now lol. the pill is supposed to reduce chances of cancer im pretty sure...
uh.....actually, recently i read something stating that when people are on the pill they have crazy sexual desires... i think that might be what you mean? uhmm....cnt remember how to spell the two ...stregions lol but anyway, for a person who doesnt take the pill, they have one moment where they are at the peak and want sex blah blah blah, and every other time is goes down where a girl can be really moody. being on the pill, you don't have your moody moment aside from the time your on your period.
