A hybrid is a good fuel saving car but on the other hand, its too expensive in the short run. good for the long run though

There multiple tax benefits in buying a hybrid. I get a $3500 tax deduction here in California so that encourage me to buy.

Hybrids are obviously the wave of the future because theres 7 new hybrids announced to come out by 2009. As more and more people buy hybrids they will eventually get cheaper and cheaper.

make sure you ditch the car before the battery dies. very expensive to replace the battery. i called for customers before to get a inventory price check on it, holy crap it's in the grand for battery. plus they are going to change the carpool laws soon so that hybrids dont get an advantage anymore...too many hybrids now

Just make sure and research what you want from the recent news (well in technology theres no such thing), only certain cars are allow to be in the car pool lane such as the toyota prius, honda insight, and honda civic hybrid are a few to name. But theres only a few hybrids that can get the sticker. Also in the LA times they said the goverment is only using the sticker as an experiment to test if the sticker idea would be okay but is getting out of hand since only a limited amount was suppose to be issue and its reaching its limits. Also there was a case saying thye whole alone in the car pool lane could end possibly in late 2007.

that car pool ending rumor is false. but only cars that get 30 or 40 mph minimum are allowed to get the yellow carpool access stickers. but they will be getting rid of all of them entirely soon.

My friend had a prius and i believe it took 3k to swap for a new battery. I'm actually planning to sell the car next summer so I don't think ill be worrying too much about the battery.

The new carpool regulations are targeted to keep V6 and V8 hybrids out so that the lil guys can slide through -rockon .
