Finished test driving the Scion today. I've narrowed it down to a used prius or used/new honda civic hybrid. I've come to the conclusion that a hybrid can save me something money can't buy...Time... Pictures up when when I purchase (most likely this weekend next weekend at late).

    Thanks for all the input.

A used hybrid would not be my first choice... has a used battery pack which is a very costly part on those cars. Know how a laptop battery life gets worse and worse over time? Same logic.

But good luck with the vehicle, car shopping can be a pain.

Hybrids are all gimmicks at the mo, better off sticking to a fuel efficient car like a diesel that can do 40-50mpg

Boooooooought the sucker today. I ended up with this lovely 2k5 Civic hybrid. The car is pretty much brand new with only 14k miles. Its also on extended warranty until 2011 or before 100k miles so i won't haveta worry about shit breaking down :D . I purchased this gal through a dealer which totaled about 17K USD...came with almost all the options. I drove the car straight to a car audio shop afterwards to have a GPS/dvd player installed.

Can't wait glide through that carpool lane :D

What kind of accent is that.....?
Also batteries are powered through powerplants...and power plants get their power from fossil fuel....

well a fuel cell is technically not a battery.. but yes ur right.. in the end its fossil fuels being used up, but with these fuel cell cars we will have cleaner air around the cities where it is most populated..

a fuel cell car is really not that bad... it may pay off in the long term.. especially wen petrol prices are so high nowadays..

^ fuel cells come from hydrogen, which needs electricity to get it (i think). Anyways you can always get the electricity from not polluting sources such as hydro power, wind and to an extent nuclear

er i don't know much of those internal of cars.. but my dad is in car line business.. lol.. i can ask him if u want..
anyways.. basically if it's me buyin a car with juz enough money and wanna get a good car for reasonable price .. save petrol etc.. i'll check the CC.. how many litres..
d lesser d better.. lol but less power.. roughly 2L is good.. lke i said.. d more powerful ur engine of d car.. d more petrol consumed.. also how often u use d car and like on what roads? often long distance drive? uphills?
hmm.. also is how light ur car is.. then again d more passengers.. more petrol LOL.. i'm talkin crapppppp
OH.. get manual then.. save petrol.. use more gear 5 lollers..
if u're really wanna save money.. PUBLIC TRANSPORTTTTTT..
i reckon at early start .. juz started working etc.. 1.6l to 2l is good..
petrol can't b saved much unless.. travel less, 1 passenger, manual etc etc.. or motorcycle? damn kawasaki ninja....sweeeetttt.. harley davidsonnnn..
