After dating for four years, Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘) and Stephanie Ho (何雁詩) will tie the knot officially next month. Both families came together a few days ago to celebrate their engagement and carried out the traditional Chinese pre-wedding customs where the bride and her family would receive betrothal gifts from the groom which would symbolise good fortune. With the help of his groomsmen, Fred prepared seafood, fruit, bride cakes and a lot of gold jewellery. Stephanie revealed that she was unsure of the value of the gifts but was thankful towards Fred for providing so much. Stephanie's bridesmaids Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and Winki Lai (賴慰玲) was also in attendance sharing in the joyous occasion. . "Everyone was so passionate and my parents was very happy, Fred was grateful and happy that his family and his friends were able to make it. The entire process went by very smoothly. It was perfect." During the process, the bride's chaperone spoke of many blessings as she opened the gifts and presented them to the bride's family. Fred was touched when he heard they would be "a harmonious union" , one of the most memorable moments was when his father in-law was holding a bag of peanuts to symbolise the blessing of children to come.
