Flashget 1.8 Slow downloads from 3kb/s

    I'm getting extremly slow downloads and the highest i go reach is 3kb/s.. OH yesterday i downloaded a movie file which reached 40kb/s.

    Any advice as to whats going on?

    your usage is capped by isp so slower (exceeded download limit or fair usage policy) or something wrong with your isp

    or your downloading other stuff (BT?) or streaming videos (e.g. youtube)

    or other apps in background that is using your bandwidth

    or there is something wrong with the server your downloading from (i.e. they are experiencing technical difficulties, try again later)

    common sense really :p

    Well i'm downloading from megaupload and don't think it has any technical difficulties and i only have flashget open.. i don't know whats causing it to be so slow.

    What kind of internet connection do you have? Even better, go here and tell us what your download speed is.
