the only actual teen bands in Japan are idol groups which basically means 80% looks and 20% singing talent. So if you're up for that, you can check out any group from Johnny's Entertainment [NEWS, Arashi, Hey! Say! JUMP, KAT-TUN, Kanjani8...] or Morning Musume and Berryz Koubou, both groups have really young girls in it. You can also check out ZONE who i actually think aren't that bad and its also a bunch of teen girls.

Now, if you're looking for bands that are popular with teen audiences then I'd say that one of the top ones right now is UVERworld. I'll just list the rest now: mihimaruGT, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Ikimonogakari, HIGH and MIGHT COLOR, jealkb, FLOW, Porno Graffiti, Every Little Thing, Dreams Come True. ELLEGARDEN, ONE OK ROCK.

The I listed are all popular mainstream bands for the last two. And last time I checked, ELLEGARDEN was on a hiatus haha.

I don't know what your preferences are so I can't list anymore but there's a lot of popular japanese music out there but they're usually by solo artists or "groups". [ex. EXILE] if you want more recommendations just ask me cuz i listen to quite a bit of japanese music in all different genres so yeah...

It's just their race is Korean..

not quite sure what genre you're referring to, but heres a few. Unless you meant Pop Teen Group then Arashi is definitely one.

uh.. Moring musume if you like underaged girls singing in tight fitting clothes? I find it freaky, but they're...preteens-teenagers for suureee...

and for boybands, anything from johnny entertainment is a good shot.

Im not really a teen band person. >.>

    Hi,
Was just wondering does anyone knows what is the group name of bunch of cute Japanese girl band whose music video showing them in singing inside a train and staring at the camera. The music video started off they enter the train (some wearing school uniforms) & not knowing each other. Then they began to sing together. At the end of the music they are back to their original self and got off the train.

    Any idea?

if you meant LITTERALLY teen.. like 13-19 people.. listen to HSJ and Yuma w/ B.I. Shadow. HSJ is pretty good.. one of my favourites.

But if you meant young bands.. then Kat-tun, NewS, Arashi would be good :)

AKB48 :D Saw them live and saw them really close like arms reach as they were doing photoshoot for Japan Expo in Paris 2009. They came from Japan for this expo and my japanese friends say they are very popular. They are one of the main attraction for Japan Expo in Paris along with CLAMP (Manga artists)
