    meh..it's somewhat better, its definitely faster than vista but i like xp better...:)

    On my Acer 4810 Timeline
    Windows Vista requires 40 minute to install
    Windows 7 requires 45 minute to install

    But overall, Windows 7 does have some improvement over Vista

    the student offer IS the professional edition UPGRADE but can be used as FULL installation

    I don't know about other offers, but the US offer is Home Edition.. and you can choose Professional if you would like for the same price.

    I would go with Pro if it's the same price.. but really depends on what your need is.

    Well, i go to UCI and i get free windows 7 CD (professional ed,) . Instead, why not just downlaod?
