England smoking ban takes effect

This is bad news for my London colleagues, but good news for me. Then I can finally go to a pub without having to inheal secont hand smoke -worship

 

Hmm, thats good news. Wonder when smoking will be completely wiped out worldwide.

 

Not in my lifetime. If something is forbidden, it will create some new forces ...
People who wanna try because it is not allowed ...

Yep. In London you see lots of people smoking outside the office building. Some smoke at the entrance!!! Which is not good for the business!!!

it's more strict in california since last yr too.. one city ban smoking in public places, like totally.. can't even light up outside.. and there is absolutely no smoking in enclosed public places already.. one state earlier this yr ban smoking inside the car.. ohare airport in chicago ban smoking on the whole airport property.. is getting a lot more strict and keep going

 

good good.. lol.. i hate smokers lol... i hate second hand smoke... darn those smokers.. making me sick... i mean literally sick... (soarthroat..fever..)
i dont discriminate smokers.. but then.. cant they do it privately... lol

 

it's a good move. healthier citizens.

 

Yeah that would be cool, slowly more and more countries are putting a smoking ban in the pubs and restaurants. I can go in a pub earlier before a gig (the gig venues were already smoke free in the UK) instead of insisting to hang around in a mall or something.

 

^The worse thing is some restaurants have this no smoking sign up but still those customers are so thick-headed and they smoke.. And even worse, the restaurant owner would turn a blind eye on them because he/she doesn't wanna lose customers! -angry

 

True, I actually see this happening in my country when they put this smoking ban in effect next summer. -down

But in the UK the smoking ban in the music venues seems to work (saw no one smoking in a sold out gig) , but maybe it's because they're Brits who often respect the authority??

i know i know... n places like kim gary... say got smoking n non smoking section... ciew... no diff... the smoking sec ppl blow the smoke.. all over the place... wots the diff sectionnin it... bak chi wan all those ppl

I´m a smoker. BUt I think the ban is a good think. We shouldn´t destroy the health of others.
