Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) was surprisingly absent from recent Lunar New Year celebrations with good friends Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), and Selena Li (李詩韻). It turns out that Elaine has been resting at home after being bit on the face by her dog. Since dating Cheng Tsz Bong (鄭子邦), the rich heir of a large car company, Elaine was often spotted walking their dogs together. Earlier, Elaine posted a photo on social media with her half her face covered. The 35-year-old actress was accidentally bit by her dog, which required stitches. Taking a one-month break from work in order to recover, Elaine responded calmly, “I’m not disfigured, nor will I give up my pets over this incident. They are very cute. Thank you for everyone’s concern. I don’t want to comment on it too much.” According to the reports, Elaine was playing with her dog when the incident occurred. While playing, the dog got too excited and unintentionally nipped her cheek with its canines. However, the wound was not too serious and required only a few stitches.
