Did we honestly think his public declaration of quitting film was really going to happen? Let's not delude ourselves. There's no such thing as bad publicity, as this scandal has so nicely portrayed for us. From the looks of it, this movie will probably end up being a box office hit.

meh I think everyone outside HK doesn't really care... Hollywood stars always get involved in scandals and in a few days, it's always over and done with. Don't know why there was such a big deal with this one. Besides, the last few notable jobs of edison before the great big scandal was so Hollywood beelined that it was kind of obvious he was getting rid of HK anyways
It's good to see that Edison is still working. Though, I don't think Edison or Shu Qi is getting paid much for this Indie film. But I guess a lot of the $13 Mil does go to the stars... Arthouse film though? Hhmmm. Edison and Shu Qi actually acting? eerrr... If they're really that cheap, I'd hire them for my Indie movies too. haha.

not surprising, i thought he was going hollywood. i wonder how many will even watch the movie, i am guessing a lot as he has a lot of publicity, negative, but still publicity. its like a free promo to anything he does now.

Going to another country to pursue an acting career is not exactly quitting the entertainment biz. I am surprise the independent American company will allow Edison to stare since wasn't it Hollywood who kicked Edison out of that Chinese adaption of some Hollywood movie? Edison should have been given more fault for the scandal. I hope he rots.
