It's very unlikely you'll make full use of a multi-display setup if it's for nothing more than entertainment, unless it's for simulations. Where multi-displays sees most efficient use is for applications that have large screens area dedicated to status screens/real-time changes and a designated work area. In other words, I doubt most people actually have the need for it. That includes myself; I've tried. =D

get something with the thinnest border possible. The only fault of having dual monitors is having a big black line split in the middle.

  6. lol exactly.. probably just play ps3 and watch 1 cable channel on it? -lol. whats some cool shit I can do with 2 of them?

lol uff the xbox.. not gonna waste my money on that.. damn.. actually I can watch two diff pornos on it.. or I can watch two same porn! -lol

yea.. dun think i'll take full advantage of it.. but I dunno.. -lol

Dual monitor set is great when you are doing a report. Research on one screen and the report on the other. Plus its pretty cool when you are doing CAD work on two monitors.

hmm... play your ps3 on a 24" comp monitor would be a lot more better than playing on a HD tv lol... too bad 22" can't go to full hd

dell recently released a cheaper version of their ultrasharp 24" its under 400 bucks

2 monitors are really good for when your trying to do 2-3 things at once but i wish they would release games fps or games that use the 2 monitors besides flight simiulators.

ecko i'd say try to get 2 monitors of the same size so u have some visual consistancy cause i found it a bitch to deal with 2 monitors of 2 different sizes

  13. lol yea.. thats what i'm saying.. but would be kind of a waste just to use it for ps3.. -lol

I dunno.. teh dell.. I don't really like the design of it..

it looks funky in the pictures but the feet look a lot nicer in person vs the round bottoms. Best buy's got dell computers now for sale i'd say stop by and give it a whirl and look at the monitors. But i think the best bet is to go to costco get a monitor from them give it a run for a month or 2 and if u like it keep it if not return it. other stores got only a 30 day return policy costco is 90 days

I have 2 22" HD Monitors connected to my computer. The reason behind this is that I use it a lot for computer renderings and car sketches that I do using Alias. One of the monitors has a HDMI input and output where I have my PS3 plugged in to play Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. :D Having the 2 monitors is the best investment I have ever made because I can model something with one monitor while being able to something else with the other. Larger monitors are great too but the fact is that you will have to move your eyes much more and your head if you have a 30" monitor right in front of your eyes. I will soon upgrade to a 3rd monitor however its no ordinary monitor as its a Wacom Cintque. I can sketch right on the monitor screen. Perfect for what I do.

  18. lol alright.. i dun think im planning to do anything professional with it.. guess i'll just stick to the one I have.. =/

but hey dingdong.. do you have the same brands for the monitor or are they different from one another?

that's is true but with dual monitors you can keep an eye on things like stock, msn , PA, dvd burning and encoding all while training in like MMORPG games. monster grinding can be very boring and when you have to change to desktop it can result in death. but i suggest at least a Core 2 duo E6420 or a qaud Q6600 whcih is around 250 - 270.

also sometimes running dual monitors with a bad graphics card is not that great. i use to have an 8800 gt and dualing was a little messed up. NOW i sli 8800 gtx's. PSST the 9600 stinks!

personally i think monitors 23 + in's are to big unless ur using it as an entertainment center. dualing with 23+'s is just a bother
